  • Services We Provide
    Preventative Non-Anesthetic Dental Maintenance Care

Our veterinarians will first perform a physical wellness and thorough oral examination to assess your pets candidacy for our non-anesthetc maintenance program. Patients with significant periodontal disease that must and can only be addressed under general anesthesia will not be admitted until those issues are properly corrected. This service is in place strictly to maintain hygiene in structurally stable, healthy mouths. We will NEVER force a frightened or systemically compromised pet into our procedure. Scroll down for more information.

Anesthetic Dentistry including advanced surgical solutions

Our West Los Angeles Pico Boulevard flagship Anesthetic Clinic is currently under construction and is expected to open late 2025/early 2026. We will offer state of the art, affordable anesthetic dentistry and maxillofacial surgery. This service will be safer and more affordable than that of a comparable service at a provider that does not provide supplemental non-anesthetic prophylaxis. Scroll down for more information.

Preventative Veterinary Dental Care

Tier 1 Veterinarian Supervised

Non-Anesthetic Dental Cleaning (N.A.D.)

  • Exam

    Comprehensive Examination

We have developed a thorough and precise oral examination process. Plaque and tartar levels are quantified. Gingivitis and recession is evaluated and quantified. The oral cavity is surveilled for neoplasia, abscessation and foreign bodies.

Illuminated multistep instrument examination including periodontal pocket depth assessment, furcation identification and classification, mobility identification and gradation, dental fracture assessment, deciduous tooth identification, and maxillary/mandibular palpation.

  • Cleaning

    Thorough Cleaning

Following a normal precheck the teeth are cleaned in a similar fashion as yours would be cleaned at your dentist. Handscalers, curettes and Piezo ultrasonic scalers are comfortably and safely employed to remove plaque and tartar from all surfaces of the teeth both above and below the gum line.

During the cleaning close attention is paid to ensure the thorough removal of the bacterial laden plaque and tartar from the oral cavity prior to potential ingestion.

  • Polish

    Polishing & Protecting

Antibacterial oral rinse and/or gel are applied before, during and after the cleaning. The cleaning is completed with the mechanical application of a veterinarian approved xylitol free fluoride based polish.

If there is mild to moderate gingivitis present, our veterinarian may choose to prescribe and dispense oral antibiotics, antibacterial oral rinse or both. These medications are to be given as directed by our veterinarian.

  • Care

    RECORDS & HOME CARE GUIDANCE

A completed digital dental record will be stored and available in your online Profile on the Records page. You can freely access this record, it can be downloaded and emailed as necessary. *We will always cross reference your pet's previous records and discuss with you any progression or new abnormalities.

Home Care Instructions will be provided at the time of your appointment.

DAILY HOME CARE IS AN ESSENTIAL COMPONENT OF MAINTAINING YOUR PETS ONGOING ORAL AND SYSTEMIC HEALTH.
